In case you missed it, the 2016 Michigan Renaissance Festival happened last weekend and it looks like it was a blast. While getting dressed up in clothes from the 14th to 17th centuries might not be your cup of tea, there’s no denying how great a big ol’ turkey leg (or three) can be.
While wearing those clothes is such an allure for lots of people who went to the Renaissance Festival, we still think we’ll stick to our cool Michigan shirts… at least until next year’s festival rolls around again.
Past the sprawling parking lot full of cars, the 2016 Michigan Renaissance Festival brought in thousands of people this past weekend.
There was something for everyone at the festival. From the beard competition to the lego competition, murals, tattoos, food and beer, festival goers were able to find their own niche at the festival.
The high sea adventures were a big draw this past weekend. “We’ve been coming here for 12 years, we come every labor day,” said Chris Ferla and his wife Michele Ferla of Lincoln Park, Michigan who were dressed as pirates. Continue Reading
